Municipal Judge Steven Tinker

Monona Municipal Judge Steven Tinker was nominated by Mayor Kahl and confirmed by the City Council in August 2007.  Judge Tinker was elected to his first term, unopposed, in April 2008.  Judge Tinker is a 1979 graduate of the UW-Madison Law School and has been an assistant attorney general since 1988.  He is currently in the environmental protection unit and previously served as unit director of Government Operations and the Criminal Litigation, Antitrust and Consumer Protection Units.  Before joining the Department of Justice, Mr. Tinker had been a deputy and assistant district attorney for Dane County, an assistant district attorney for Jefferson County and in private practice in Wausau and Madison.
